Lee Weston

Lee has an affinity and passion to help others achieve their goals. He is a personable and dedicated professional who cares for the people he works with creating a fun, relaxed environment conducive to training hard and achieving results. He loves to participate in all sports and outdoor activities. Coming from a team game background of competitive rugby he has more recently branched out into outdoor pursuits such as climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and more endurance events such as road marathons, trail ultra-marathons and load bearing military races. Throughout all this his real love is in the mountains skiing, having completed 2 ski seasons whilst working as a massage therapist in France and Italy. Lee thrives on new challenges and test limits.

A first class graduate from the University of Bath in Sport and Exercise Science and a qualified sports teacher he has a passion for functional conditioning, injury prevention and physical literacy. Within his 4 years of teaching he became a qualified level 3 personal trainer, level 2 strength & conditioning coach and qualified sports massage therapist implementing the conditioning and recovery programs for the college sports academies (rugby, football, volleyball, netball & basketball). Since then he has gained 6 years’ experience in personal training, delivering boot camps, pre-season conditioning for different sports and gaining great results with his clients.

Lee provides a personal training and sports massage service at Oakfields Personal Training and keen to apply his wealth of knowledge and previous experiences from 10 years within the sport, health and fitness environment to help others. Lee understands the day to day stressors of life and how they impact on training and the body, requiring a more realistic, flexible, individual approach to gain successful results.

I first met Lee 15 months ago when I visited Oakfields Personal Training to discuss creating a weight loss program. I now see him for an hour a week and he can take a lot of the credit for the results I have achieved. From the outset, he worked around my abilities and physical limitations. As I have lost weight and improved my fitness and flexibility, he has altered my program to ensure I maintain the same level of exertion during our sessions. He mixes each session up, so I never know what he is going to ask of me and he blends cardio with stretches and core and resistance work, which ensures no one part of me is overworked in a session. Lee clearly takes a very professional approach to his job as a Personal Trainer, though this is balanced with a friendly, warm and supportive exterior. He takes time between sessions to plan my schedule and is on hand throughout the week to answer any questions or to offer up support.
